About the Authors: Rob Lebow & William L. Simon
Rob Lebow is an accomplished teacher and speaker. The author of the U.S. bestseller, A Journey into the Heroic Environment; and coauthor of Lasting Change and Accountability-Freedom and Responsibility Without Control, Lebow holds a master’s degree in urban planning (MUP) from City University of New York and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. During his first twenty years in Corporate America, Rob held a senior marketing position at Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, Washington and was a leading division manager at AVON Cosmetics of New York.
Lebow is founder and creator of the Shared Values Process®/Operating System and the new TransAction Zone™ redesign for organizations that want to create Great Customer TransActions™. Shared Values Process has been implemented by more than 200 organizations around the globe for over 18 years. Rob Lebow is founder of The Lebow Company, an international research and training organization that serves companies in helping them create Freedom-Based environments. The Lebow Company’s international operation was created to teach operations in every industry around the world a revolutionary process that promotes a change in the current belief that people need to be controlled, monitored, measured, and motivated.
For the past twenty years, the focus of Lebow’s work for has been the implementation of the Shared Values Process. The Lebow Company, which has corporate offices in Bellevue, Washington, is celebrating its 20th year in business. Rob has been married to his college sweetheart for the past 36 years, and they have a 19-year old daughter.
William L. (Bill) Simon is a bestselling author of business books and narrative non-fiction. Simon has been a freelance film writer and bestselling book author for more than twenty-five years, with credits on over 800 published and produced works.
Simon has authored numerous magazine and newspaper articles which have appeared in publications such as the Washington Post and USA Today. He has also written concepts and exhibit copy for the U.S. Pavilion at the Paris Air Show and for galleries at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and Museum of History and Technology.
Simon has authored or co-authored more than a dozen books including The Art of Deception (Wiley), with famed computer hacker Kevin Mitnick and Driving Digital (HarperBusiness, 2001) with Robert L. McDowell.
A long-time member of the Writers Guild, Simon has written in the film genres of comedy, true crime and family drama. As a documentary film writer, Simon’s scripts have won many awards including eight CINE Golden Eagles, an Emmy nomination, and recognition from the Venice, Berlin and Belgrade film festivals.
In addition to the Writer’s Guild, Bill Simon is a jury chairman for the CINE film festival, and a board member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Southwest region. He holds a commercial pilot's license for airplanes and helicopters, and is an avid tennis player and sailor. At Cornell University , he became a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honorary societies.
